Indeed John. There's a kilt shop just down the road - I'm living in Scotland for a wee while - and I noticed that in the shop they refer to them as glengarry bonnets rather than glengarries. Probably the usage differs from region to region.

It rains. Once you get used to the idea that air is naturally wet, cold and moves sideways, it's fine.
Heard a man say "Och, aye!" (twice) in the supermarket yesterday and I really knew I had arrived.

Did the hokey ghost tour in Edinburgh. Might have a short story about it on my blog soon. And Macbeth's castle is about 200 metres away so perhaps Banquo will come a-visiting?

I don't know if you'd like it or not, but there's a scene early on in the book in which a Scottish ghost makes a memorable appearance.
